We are now accepting applications for our 2017 Widener-Bega Scholarship. We encourage all eligible students to apply.
The Widener-Bega scholarships were created by Timber Ridge PTA President Beth Bega and Timber Ridge Principal Mary Kay Widener as a way to honor Timber Ridge graduates who excelled throughout their school careers by serving as role models of the Timber Ridge values of Learning, Caring and Sharing. These are merit scholarships, and are not based on financial need. All funds are made payable directly to the student’s college and not to them personally.
For 2017, the scholarship award is a one-time grant of $500. Up to three scholarships will be awarded to Timber Ridge graduates: two to expected graduates of Pope, Walton or a Magnet high school, and one to a special education student from Pope or Walton. Students who live in the Pope or Walton districts but attend a Cobb County magnet, charter, or private high school are also eligible.
The deadline for the application to be received at the Timber Ridge Elementary School office is March 31, 2017.
Thanks in advance for your support in this effort. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Grants and Scholarship Committee at email@example.com.

In order to gauge ways in which school administration and personnel can better meet your students' needs as well as your expectations, it is important that you complete the Georgia Parent Survey. This survey provides us with baseline data on issues that the school should address to provide a more efficient and productive environment.
At your earliest convenience, please click on the link below and answer the questions. We GREATLY appreciate your effort in providing us with valuable information on moving Timber Ridge forward. MANY thanks to the 120+ parents who have already completed the survey! :-)
Much Appreciation and Admiration,
Jeffrey A. Castle, Principal
Georgia Parent Survey
The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphones or tablet. For parents that do not have access to the Internet, school administrators should consider scheduling dates and times to allow parents to complete the Georgia Parent Survey at school. All parents should be encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Individual data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.

Timber Ridge Dismissal Updates
Student Early Dismissal: 1:45 p.m. is the latest time a student may be picked up for an early dismissal. Parents must sign the student out in the front office.
Transportation Changes: Changes to a student’s normal transportation at dismissal must be made no later than 1:45 p.m. the day of the change. A signed note from the parent is required to make a change. Please include date, teacher and student’s full name. Emails to the teacher or office are not accepted for changes.
Bus Passes: Due to our buses being at full capacity and safety regulations, passes are only accepted for a different stop on the student’s regular bus. We cannot allow students to ride a bus they are not assigned to.
