 E-BooK CLUB

Our new look...round tables.....so nice!!

We are off to a great start this year with all classes coming and going.  It is great to see the students grow as independent learners.  Our students' information literacy skills are becoming stronger as they use Destiny to search our collection and the internet.

EBOOKs are being introduced to Timber Ridge this month.  "Why?" parents and teachers may ask.  A great example is our EBOOK biography of President Obama or of Martin Luther King.  Students can "check these out from home" and read them online.  Imagine....the entire third grade could read the very same book for homework one night!  How about our EBOOKs on football in the SEC and baseball in the National League East division?!  There is no limit to how many students can be enjoying these books at the very same time.  Just log into Cobb Virtual Library from home and go to Timber Ridge's DESTINY, our media center operating system, and check EBOOKs out!

Story times this month include traditional fairy tales.  So many primary students enjoy hearing Rumpelstiltskin and Jack and the Bean Stalk.
