Mark Justice with Timber Ridge Students
Cobb EMC , our Partner in Education, wants to light up our lives with the enjoyment of reading and writing. To celebrate and encourage literacy, Cobb EMC donated 13 autographed copies of Brian Lies' books to Timber Ridge. A drawing from entries of students, listing a favorite title, resulted in 10 winners. Three of Brian's titles are now in our Media Center and 10 copies are in the hands of the students in the photo above. Brian Lies sent a message to Timber Ridge with his books: Reading makes you smarter! The author of more than 20 books, Brian Lies tells students that reading makes "connections" in our brains that will contribute to creativity and imagination. To meet the challenges in our future, both imagination and creativity will be key to our success. We thank Cobb EMC for encouraging LITERACY at Timber Ridge! Mark Justice, representing Cobb EMC, came to present our students with these wonderful books!
