Wow! I cannot believe that we are almost half way through this year already. Time is really flying by. We are having a wonderful year with such a great group of students.
Thank you to all of our parents for their help with our annual kindergarten feast. Our class had an awesome time feasting together. We also really enjoyed having everyone join us for our Celebrate Families lunch. The students were so excited about having all of our visitors come to join us for lunch and our performance. If you have any pictures from either of these activities that you would like to have placed in the yearbook please upload them as soon as possible. Please let me know if you need any help. The yearbook committee is always looking for great snapshots.
This week we are completing a Jan Brett Author study and reading many of her books. Please visit her website www.janbrett.com for many great activities that you can do at home as well.
In the next few weeks we will be learning about customs around the world, gingerbread, and holidays. During our customs week the students will get the chance to visit a different kindergarten classroom each day to learn about the customs and holiday traditions of five different countries.
We are also very busy wrapping up our second nine weeks of the school year. Please refer to your Kindergarten Report Card Rubric to see what the students are being assessed on for the current grading period. Report Cards will come home in January when we return from the Winter Break.
As always, thank you for all of your support and most of all for sharing your children with us this year. If you have any questions or concerns at any time please let me know.
