CRCT Preparation

In preparation for the CRCT that all fourth graders will be taking in April, the fourth grade classes will be participating in differentiation of instruction once a week in math and in reading beginning in February.  Our goal is to use our data to determine the needs of each student and plan instruction that meets those needs to optimize mastery of the fourth grade curriculum.  If you should have questions, please contact me.

Report cards go home tomorrow.  I only need the envelope and the sign off sheet back.  You may keep the actual report card. 

No school on Monday!

We will have a vocab test on Wednesday.  Your child will have all 15 words by tomorrow (Friday).

We could still use some glue sticks, and I have been told our play dough we use to spell our spelling words during Daily 5 time is dry, so if you have any to donate that would be great.

Weekly Update January 7th

Here is the weekly update for the upcoming week!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Winter Break!  I also wanted everyone to know that we will have another student teacher with us starting on Monday, January 9th.  Her name is Megan Vaughn.  We are so fortunate to have the extra help in our classroom! I cannot believe we are starting the 2nd half of the school year!  May will be here before we know it!

Colored copy paper

Lots of glue sticks!!! (We will be putting together a "scrapbook" for the American Revolution and it involves a lot of gluing!)

Here is our Weekly Update for next week! 

Keep bringing in the Pringles cans and lids!!  We still need a lot more lids before we make our kaleidoscopes!

Weekly Update November 17th

Please don't forget to bring in Pringles cans for our special project in December.  We still need a lot of lids. 

Progress reports will be going home on the Monday, November 28th when we return.  Please look for these in your child's Thursday Folder that will be going home on Monday instead!

Here is the update for the week we return from Thanksgiving.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Break with family and friends!  I am thankful for such a wonderful class!  You have some wonderful children and I enjoy being with them everyday!

Please note our lunch times will be different on Thursday and Friday of next week due to Celebrate Families.

We will be eating in our classroom on Thursday, November 17th at 11:08. 

We will have lunch in the cafeteria for Celebrate Families on Friday, November 18th from 10:30-11:00. (Yes, we are the 1st lunch of the day.)

I will send out a Weekly Update on November 17th for the week we return from Thanksgiving Break.  Please note that our last Vocabulary test is on November 16th for this half of the year.  We will pick vocabulary back up in January.
