LOTS TO CELEBRATE!!

First...the juggling team did a great job in the East Cobber Parade!!  Way to represent Timber Ridge!

Second...we just received an award from the Georgia Asso. for Health Physical Education and Dance (GEHPERD) committee.  They recognized us for our outstanding achievements and "Most Improved Elementary School" in conjunction with the American Heart Association and Jump Rope For Heart.  Our efforts and contributions help to fund research and educational materials throughout Georgia.  We will be recognized in October at their convention.  We will receive a plaque and $250.00 with which to purchase more equipment.  So, we greatly appreciate all your efforts to help us achieve this goal. 

Last , but not least...the children are doing a great job remembering their tennis shoes! 

P.E. IS COOL!!

The year is off to a great start!!  We finalized the juggling team roster and they will be performing at the East Cobb Parade on Saturday, September 10th.  That is always an exciting way to start our year!  We are working on the fundamentals of football and will end our unit with a flag football game with the older kids and a throwing a catching game with the younger kids. 

Please remember tennis shoes on the day you have P.E.  The schedule is 2 days in P.E., then 2 days off (to other specials).  We will have to sit kids out that do not have the appropriate footwear...sorry:(
